The Mets were getting between $6 million and $7 million per year in their deal with WFAN, which expires at the end of this season. A radio company such as Clear Channel, which at one point had the inside track to Yankees radio rights, could probably pick up the Mets (for WOR-AM) at a price where it can actually turn a profit on the deal.
